Smitty’s - Spruce Grove, Alberta

Came in for the all-you-can-eat fish and chips, and it was an absolute joke. It took 15 minutes just to get 2 fish and chips. After finishing that, we waited another 10 minutes for them to bring just 1 fish and chips. We had a family of 4, and they couldn’t ... get anything right. The bill ended up being $108.00. The claim of unlimited fish and chips is misleading; they take so long that people just end up leaving. On top of that, they charged $10.00 for two large glasses of chocolate milk. The food was not overwhelming, for the price even bad. We waited about 30mins for our food, which was only some pasta and a burger, so nothing too complicated. The Atmosphere was nothing special, looks like any other Restaurant. But the waiters were really nice :)

I love Smittys food and I always come for the western skillet. The last 2 times I have been here have been bad experiences unfortunately. Today I was waited 30 minutes before getting my food. Which is okay.. but the what I asked for in details was all wrong. I brought it ... up to Natalie, and all she could say is that it would be another 30 minute for the right dish.. Decent food. Seems a wee bit expensive compared to other similar places. However, over all, okay. I'm a bigger guy at 6'3" and 220lbs. I appreciate everything costs more these days, but I would've liked more meat for the prices.

Ordered a Cajun Chicken burger with no tomatoes. Was brought a crunchy chicken burger with only lettuce. I asked the waitress if it should have other stuff, like cheese and bacon, her response was "I dont know, I just punch it in, maybe they made a mistake" I said ''Didn't I ... order the cajun chicken burger, she agreed, but still didnt understand what was going on, so I asked to recheck the menu, I pointed out the cajun burger was supposed to have bacon ,cheese, onion and aioli, she took it back and got them to throw some bacon and cheese on. During this we could over hear the utter confusion by me asking for what I ordered. Not to mention my side of fries (Pictured) had a total of 17 fries, smaller than a kids fries at McDonald's. All of this for the bargain price of $19.00...ridiculously cheap. If the food is going to be way overpriced at least throw in a few fries. Read more
