Unfortunately I’m unable to give this place 5 stars. I came here because I saw they had fried rice on the menu and obviously I had to try it. I asked the waitress if I could have my chicken fried rice spicy and she replied saying “no you can add ... it yourself”. I found this odd as they have spicy items on the menu meaning they have ingredients in the back to make things spicy. I then asked “do you have chili peppers in the back”. She responded “yes” I said “can you cut them up and add to my friend rice please.” She said, “no you can add it yourself”. absolutely blew my mind so I just asked her to bring me a chili pepper and I would add it myself. She brought me my food and chili pepper and I had my boyfriend ask her why she said no because I was nervous. She said “too many people send it back cause it’s too spicy”. While i understand their business may be suffering by people sending it back I was specifically asking for it. She wasn’t nice about it and I felt very offended by the assumption I couldn’t handle my spice. By the time I got it as spicy as I would like. I had to add two chili pepper myself that I had to cut up on my own and a container of chili flakes. My food was unfortunately not as hot anymore. This is my fault from being picky but it did sadden me I couldn’t have what I asked for. I would honestly give this place less stars based on the service, but my boyfriend’s food was very very good. I spoke with the manager after as I didn’t think this should go unnoticed because I felt that was bad service and mean. She was kind and apologized for this not being handled well. I would recommend this place if you don’t like spiciness LOL and also aside from my inability to enjoy food without it burning my mouth it was very tasty. My boyfriend got beef satay and his was very good. I also got spring rolls that were very tasty. Please do better for our spicy loving community. I know we’re very few but PLEASE!! I want to be sniffling and almost in tears.. it makes me happy. Nothing brightens my day like spicy fried rice. Read more
We tried this place in Spruce Grove. I had pho, and it was pretty good. Hubby had the chicken curry, and it was nothing to write home about - it was just default Glicko curry sauce that you can pick up at grocery stores. The service was a bit disjointed. I ... don't know if there was something going on behind the scenes that we weren't aware of, but the meals came to the table all will nilly, and my husband got a bowl of chicken in curry sauce with no mention of the rice that was to eventually follow. It was just off. I would consider coming again if I was really, really hungry and it was the closest option, but we will be trying the other local options first. Read more
The food was absolutely top notch. The seafood was fresh, and the broth in my pho was incredibly delicious. The atmosphere is so nice, that I can easily find this place becoming my second home. The service was impeccable as well.
Finally got a chance to try this place, after hearing lots of good things about their gluten free options. We shared an order of gluten-free spring rolls (dedicated fryer), Coconut Lemongrass Chicken, and Ginger Beef. Also Vietnamese iced coffee yumm. Everything was piping hot, arrived within minutes! The flavours were amazing and ... it was great to have safe options for my Celiac needs. Definitely coming back! Read more
Perfect Seafood Hot Pot. You could try here the autentic Vietnamese cousine. Also my favorite flavor is Lemongras with Chicken, Beef or Prawns. As well I tried black bean stir fried chicken, it was tasty. Update: Today I had Satey Seafood Noodle Soup with extra shrimps, it was spicy and delicious.
