Browns Socialhouse - Sherwood Park, Alberta

My friend and I met at Brown’s last night and from the start the service was horrible. I sat for a while alone ( no big deal, leave me while I wait I understand) then, a waitress brought a beer to my table that I didn’t order, when I said I ... hadn’t ordered it she went to the bar then came back and said that I had ordered it from the hostess. I did not. I believe they did finally find the beers orderer but then nobody served me for even longer. When I did eventually get a drink, my friend joined me and we didn’t get anymore service until a man came over for our food orders. He didn’t even realize that she hadn’t gotten to order a drink yet. We put in food orders and then drink ordered too cause by now we figure we don’t actually have a server. Food was good, drinks were good and when we were done, people took our plates but nobody asked if we wanted desert or more drinks. Eventually a different girl just brought us our bills. I am a server myself and I don’t necessarily blame anyone in particular because I honestly don’t know who my server even was. The bill said server 13. I came to browns to celebrate my Birthday on March 31st. We had such an amazing experience! Food was amazing, service was great and Sameer went above & beyond for me! Thanks so much for making it a memorable Birthday!

Ordered Fish and Chips which I have always felt no one can screw up. This location proved me wrong! The fish was over cooked to the point that I couldn't even cut one end of one of the pieces The fries hiding underneath of the fish, were, mainly, the tiny ... end pieces left over in the fryer! Gordon Ramsey would tear a strip off this chef! Although the waitress who took our orders was pleasant, that's all she was. We choose to go here for dinner a few weeks ago and really liked our overall experience. We were seated right away, the service was good, and the overall atmosphere was just right. I like how the music playing at this location wasn't too loud, and our server was super friendly, ... not overly chatty, and gave us ample time to order. Fantastic experience! I was greeted as soon as I entered the doors then greeted again by the head manager. Then the waitress continued to keep service excellent by telling us where washrooms were, specials and where to hang personal item which I have never had before. The food and drinks were extremely ... well made. We also had the opportunity to try new spicy sushi rolls (brought to us by another friendly waitress) upon minutes of being seated. I plan on coming back to this specific location and bringing more customers as well. :) Read more
