Very Fair Chinese Restaurant - Scarborough, Ontario

It pains me to stay this as I used to like this place. Their dim sum selection has been reduced and the quality isn't anything to write home about. Not even average. COVID has decimated many a restaurant and this location shows it. I ordered the 'shiu mai' which looked ... like it was microwaved. Their barbeque pork buns were alright. The 'sweet egg yolk and milk' were good, I'd order those again anytime. This place is good if you're ordering fried noodles or rice, but I wouldn't go here for the dim sum. I'd stick to the other Very Fair location close to Kennedy/Sheppard instead. Read more

Picked up take out from this spot for the first time, it did take a little longer than the expected pick up time, not sure if they were super busy but prices are reasonable. Decent value and taste! Decor? A touch old, as not sure have they renovate at all since opening, however, authentic Chinese food (Canton region), and you don't need to drop a fortune if not ordering exotic seafood like Alaska crab.

I've been here often for dimsum.The restaurant is located at the basement of the building and parking is free if you get it validated. The wait is shorter than other dimsum places, especially if you go before noon. The food is good, with many options to choose. Make sure to ... order the pan fried dumpling and chicken feet as they're really delicious. If you go during the holidays, sometimes you'll be expected to order from a list. However there will still be ladies pushing food carts around the restaurant. Prices are very fair like the name suggests (😂) and service is quite decent. Overall meal for five cost $70 including tip.
