Bistro des bières Belge - Saint-Hubert, Quebec

This was my first visit to the BBB in a few years and dispute my fond memories of this restaurant I was very disappointed in our experience. I ordered the salmon poke bowl, when it arrived one of the ingredients had been changed from fried avocado to fresh. I raised ... it with our waiter who said he knew of the problem because it has been 6 months they can’t order their premade fried avocado and that other clients have also complained about the switch. He went and raised it with his manager and we were told fresh avocado is more expensive so we shouldn’t worry. First, it is sucky to have something changed without being informed. Second, if a mistake is made in the menu six months ago fix it. Third, most restaurants I have worked in would comp the meal or offer a discount for their mistake. This did not happen. Lastly, I expected more from the restaurant in terms of quality. Why isn’t this homemade? My partner ordered the bison burger, the meat was quite rubbery compared to what we have had previously. Lastly, no high chairs are available only strapless boosters. I won’t be rushing back again after my experience. The food and service were not worth the price paid. Read more

A great place to discover. The food was delicious and the portion was more than we expected. There is no room for complaints with the service that we got. Definitely a place to try although the parking space is not big and you have to park on the side of ... the road. Read more

A descent small resto that's not a chain.it has a charming deco of a + 100 yr old wood house. It has a very good choice of beer and. the food is good and the price is standard. Enjoyable

The grilled octopus wasn't the portion I expected but it tasted fantastic. The Bollywood mussels smelled amazing and tasted even better! I could drink that sauce like a soup. Update: went again in February 2023 and it's as good as I remembered. I was able to bring friends who has never ... been, so we got to share. Bollywood, Thai, and stroganoff. I think the Thai is my new favourite as it's so citrusy. Read more

Good food and good service. Wasn't blown away but overall still a great experience. No English menu but our limited French and a friendly waiter were enough to make do. We liked the mac and cheese which on that day was "Big Mac" inspired. Salad with duck confit was also ... nice. Mussels were a little dried out on top but further down in the pot they were juicy and delicious. Read more
