I used to shop here often and buy things like kale chips and get the meat meal deals from the deli. The deli has been out of meat for over 3 months and I find the store is constantly and consistently low or out of important stock. Unfortunately I do ... my shopping at another health food store now, it’s not worth my time to come it and always be dissatisfied. This is the most overpriced food store I know of. For example: Gardiene Fish Fillets max $4.99 anywhere else, $6.19 here and I find this is typical of their prices. Yummy healthy food. Sort of expensive. This place was a lifesaver when I went on an allergen-free diet as they had all sorts of gluten, dairy, etc free things. The deli section is nice but sometimes the staff are slow getting to you. Also, the gluten free vegan coconut cupcakes ... taste like coconut soaked in sugar. Unfortunately, Planet Organic falls short of being the great store they could be. They used to at least be better than they have become in the past two years. The prices are on the high side. The produce tends to be mediocre and the meats are not always fresh. For ... several months last year, the shelves were quite bare. I get the sense that there is a problem with the store management, both here and at their head office in the States. Many staff over the years have been wonderful, but there seems to be a high turnover rate, and too often, I encounter staff who seem to hate being there, which leads to their being less helpful and somewhat grumpy. Great selection of organic and healthy products. You're paying premium prices, but it's worth it for good quality. They also have great coffee, so it's a nice alternative to the coffee shop next door. Great atmosphere and staff too.
