I went here for my doctorate and my partner for their masters and undergrad. I have taught a few courses there as well. - As others have mentioned, the program for assisting those with disabilities is an absolute disaster. They will automatically treat you like you're lying and make every step ... of the process as challenging as possible. - The administration runs it like a business and doesn't even try to hide how little they care about your education. They want you to give them money and not ask for anything. - Soulless. There's nothing distinguishing about UVic. You won't find unique clubs, unique buildings, unique people, unique events. Just a middle-of-the-road university with middle-of-the-road faculty and students. - Most importantly, I have witnessed how they treated a friend of mine who was assaulted by a TA. Even with other students backing up the claims, the school denied everything. My friend sued the school, and their lawyers painted her as crazy and it really did a number on their health. Absolutely zero concern or desire to figure out the truth. They do not care about you. I am not proud to have graduated here. I would not do it again. Read more
