Shiraz Restaurant - Richmond Hill, Ontario

Last night we went there for an event . We enjoyed the singer performace who was nostalgic for all of us . Here are some points that may help the owner make the events better. Appetizer was good with a good presentation. Main course was jojeh kabab and khalal khoresht which the stew ... is a specific cuisine some people didn't like it so some popular stew as ghormeh sabzi or even kebab maybe is the better as a second option. After dinner they brought tea and a delicious baqlava but didn't tell us anything about surcharge , then waitress came with atm machine and said dessert was not included in the ticket package. The Food, taste and services are just Okay, do not expect great quality, the restaurant is not clean enough, Only if you are going there to watch a show or see an artist, you won't waste your money and time, unless I am not recommending this restaurant ... to go to have a nice dinner with friends and families, the staff are not friendly and seems they don't like their jobs. Food quality isn’t good! The music and atmosphere is better than the food! Overall if it wasn’t because of friends’ gathering we wouldn’t go there!

Not sure why this place is still open! I asked the waiter if the combos come with rice and she rolled her eyes at me saying yeh!! I was very offended. We ordered appetizers and they were really poor quality. Once we ordered our food, (combo platter 3). The lamb ... was dry, chicken was as if you were chewing card board and as you can see from the picture I have posted the kobideh was raw inside. I mean who leaves ground meat uncooked!!!! There was 8 skewers of kobideh kabab that was raw so we told the waitress whom got the manager for us and the manager came back with 4 skewers and we said all of them are bad. Then he went and came back with another 4 skewers. I was hungry and took a bite of the new skewers which were still uncooked! This was one of the worst Persian restaurants in Toronto! They did not even tried to give us a discount with 16 skewers of kabab still left on the table which we didn't even take home. Don't waste your money. Read more

I've had to come here twice. They are kind of rude. They force you to order - I understand since they have cheap singers and belly dancers performing - but some people just can't do a Persian meal. So I ordered a meal with salad instead of rice and this is ... what I got 😂 They also charged our hosts $20 for people who didn't show up for reservation. Last but not least, the culture of that place is not something I'd recommend to most people, specially non-Persians. There are many better Persian restaurants within a few hundred feet! Read more
