The One Fusion Cuisine - Richmond Hill, Ontario

We got here around 10:45 on Canada and the place was completely full and there were people spilling out from the restaurant. Needless to say this place is popular! I would definitely suggest going early on the weekends to beat the crowds. The BBQ Pork Steamed Rice ... (叉燒飯) was our favorites and is a must. The pork was really tender and juicy and had the perfect amount of honey. Other dishes that we really enjoyed the Thousand Thread Shrimp Ball (黃金西杏脆蝦球) and the Deep Fried Sticky Pork Dumplings (咸水角) were also very scrumptious. We ended with some Puff Pastry Milk Tarts (即焗酥皮鮮奶撻) and the Steamed Sweet Egg Yolk Paste Layer Cake (懷舊千層糕) which was the perfect way to start our patriotic Canada Day (Oh, Canada!). One of the best Hong Kong style dim sum restaurants we've ever had in Toronto! The Fusion One offers generous portions and ingredients that make every dish a delight. Highly recommend their pumpkin congee. It's super smooth and packed with flavor—an excellent choice to kick-start your breakfast if you're there in ... the morning. The beef balls are amazing. They're bouncy, juicy, and burst with flavor when you sink your teeth into them. Another must-try is the soup shrimp dumplings. The soup is clear but sweet, and the prawn is fresh and crunchy! And of course, there are many more delicious options to try. The only downside is that it's a very popular restaurant in the area. If you're there for breakfast, aim to arrive slightly before 9 AM to avoid the long queue. Service can be a bit slow when the restaurant is packed. Have been wanting to check out this pace after reading the reviews. Finally made it happen today after a weekend hike. Pretty good, almost feel like it’s better than the yu seafood, my new favour for now. 😝😋🥳 very spacious, relatively fast service, and the foods were ... so fresh, tasty and with decent portion size. Would have really liked to try their dim sum but it ends around 4pm unfortunately. Came for dinner instead and they definitely have one of the most decadent menus for Chinese food, including Peking duck and various varieties of fresh seafood displayed in tanks. The servers here are pretty attentive. They ... plate food for you, take away dirty dishes, and refill your tea pretty quickly. Would definitely recommend some of their seafood dishes, which are pricey but gives you the opportunity to try king crab, jumbo shrimp and jumbo scallops.
