Have been to Aneal’s twice so far and both times I have been impressed by the food. An important factor for me is price and for the serving size they give it’s hard to beat. The owner is super nice and recognizes my coworkers by name. I wish I knew about this place earlier! The food is so flavourful and definitely made with love. Tried the goat curry entrée and the fried catfish weekend special with 2 filets, mac and cheese pie and rice. Huge portions and super flavourful! I loved the coleslaw as well, it ... was light and perfectly balanced with the other dishes (probably one of the best I’ve ever had). Aneal came out to personally greet us and even gave us free samples of their duck curry which they have every other Saturday and wild boar curry on Fridays and Saturdays! My favourite was the wild boar, it was not too gamey and had delicious fatty pieces. Would definitely come back to try their rotis and housemade desserts! Read more
Tried out this place for lunch yesterday. We ordered take out, but ended up eating at a bench close by because it smelled way too good to wait! Visited here for a birthday lunch and I have to mention that this is by far the best food in this area and the tastiest West Indian food I have tried thus far. The owner, Aneal, took time to greet us and engage in a great conversation. He also recommended ... daily specials which were delicious. We ordered the BBQ Mac&Cheese which had its own unique twist and is definitely a must-try. The catfish was served with a side of rice and coleslaw was amazing as well.
