Both tasted flavorful, Ruelo chocolate was rich but not sugary. I ordered a 7-inch pistachio ice cream cake online from this shop. But when I went to pick it up the next day, they said they only had a 5-inch cake left. They did give me my money back, but it would have been better if they told me earlier ... that they ran out of the bigger cake. Also, the chocolate coating on the cake was really hard, almost like a rock. We had to use a hammer to break it! Unhygienic and utterly unacceptable. Hair in cake. So disappointed with the cake we got for a friend’s birthday and new year celebration. I have previously bought from Ruelo, however this experience is making me to never want to come back again. If I can give zero stars I would. Not only did ... we find 1, but we found 5 pieces of HAIR in the cake! Absolutely unacceptable. If it has just been one, we would understand as mishaps happens and move on. However 5 pieces of hair all in one cake is ridiculous! And for us to be paying $75 for this is a joke. Please ensure that your store is following health and safety protocols and guidelines.
