Marathon Cafe - Richmond Hill, Ontario

I was recommended to go here because of their authentic Hong Kong Milk Tea. It wasn't bad by any means, but I'm not sure what the hype is about. The menu is really large, but nothing stands out. Lemon tea and Hong Kong milk tea were tasty. Food is okay. Great service. The restaurant itself: dark, drafty, fruit flies, tables weren't wiped (went off peak hours).

A classic HK style tea shop or "cha chaan teng", Marathon Cafe has award winning silk strained milk tea that is super smooth and deep in flavour. Food wise, they are alright. Solid hk style spot where you order at the counter. Came at 9 am on a Friday and it wasn’t packed but still busy, a good amount of seats. Food was tasty and their milk teas live up the their reputation

Their Friday special is da bomb! Deep Fried chicken leg with pasta/rice and several choices of sauce. On the flip side, their other dishes on the menu were just decent. What this place stood out for me are their milk teas! Arguably the best in town! I'm a huge fan ... of milk tea... and thus far, no other HK cafés could replicate the delicious milk tea Marathon brings. Read more
