This shop has one of the worst response time and while their cakes are OK, it really isn’t dependable. My daughter has allergies, so I depended on them to make her birthday cake. They left us with no options right now because she needs to order an allergen free cake ... and my two year old won’t have a cake for her bday this week. It’s so disheartening when they ruined her birthday and wasn’t apologetic at all. The owner told me because I didn’t respond by Saturday, I didn’t make the cut off to order her a cake. I told her the reason I engaged them more than two weeks ago was because I was very serious about ordering a cake. At no point in time they said I need to order the cake by Saturday. But that’s not even worst part, as I shared I engaged them two weeks in advance but it’s because they either didn’t respond in between or I had to follow up numerous times after I asked them a question that caused the delay. Even on Saturday when I sent them one last question before I wanted to firm up the order, they never had the decency to email me back until I followed up again today (Tuesday) to tell me I can no longer get a cake. Any allergy mom can relate we don’t have the option to buy a store bought cake, I explained this to them several times as I am returning client - thinking I was doing the right thing by supporting a local business. But they brushed me off and said I can get her a gluten free cookie or brownie. Who offers their kid a cookie only for their milestone birthdays? Like would the owners do that to their own kid? I use to promote this baker to all my allergy mom groups and friends/family. I would definitely share this terrible experience going forward. They are really not client centric at all. Thank you Ginger’s Cupcakes & Desserts! I ordered a few dozens of mini cupcakes for my son’s birthday party. They are so delicious and cute. It was a big hit. Love the variety of flavours and the calligraphy on the plaque. Would recommend this place to everyone especially for nut ... free cake or cupcakes. Read more

Went to pick up some peanut free cupcakes and was happily surprised that they now carry vegan treats for walk-in customers! The chocolate vegan cake and vegan cookies (chocolate brownie cookie and chocolate chip cookies with puffed rice) were delicious! The frosting on the vegan chocolate cake was so creamy ... and the cake was so flavourful and the texture is right on. It's hard to get vegan baked goods right so I was so excited that the bakers at Ginger's bakery did. The regular cupcakes were wonderful like usual. The best cookies I’ve ever had! And believe me that I have tried a lot of cookies in different places. The service is also excellent, will definitely come back.
