Yummy shrimp wonton soup. When I'm in the neibourhood I get my favorite soup. Wonton has 5 or more shrimps per wonton.
Came here on the recommendation of quite a few people, but it just didn’t quite hit it for me. The food is by no means bad, and quite good actually, but I have at least two other restaurants in the nearby area that I think is quite a lot better. With ... that said, again, their food is actually quite good. I found the portion just a tiny bit smaller than what I would have liked. Everything did taste fresh. Please note that it’s beef slices and not beef briskets at this location - I didn’t see it initially and was slightly surprised when I saw the food. I recommend trying this place, but I’ve definitely have had superior food at different restaurants. Read more
This is where the local will eat ! Hong Kong Cantonese food. It is a very traditional hong kong restaurant setting, a bit noisy with canton speaking. The food is so yummy, the dumplings is large and the meat and prawns filling is really fresh. Good portion. The noodles, porridge ... taste so good to me. and the shellfish goes so well with the porridge. Read more
How to order your food? This eatery is like a food court. You grab a table first then head to the back left. The order counter is located there to place your order. Give them your name. Pay your food with cash. Mostly everything on the menu is $12, taxes included. After ... paying, head to the back right hand side of this eatery to grab your cup of hot water before you head back to your seat. Wait for them to call your name. Everything is served in disposable containers and cutleries. If you need to pack anything to go, just request for the matching container cover and plastic shopping bag. Enjoy your food. Before you go, don’t forget to throw away your garbage. It’s located near the hot water area. It was always setup like this since it opened, but the order taking area/cash register now occupies a good portion of the dining hall floor space. So it gets filled up quickly during peak periods. Chilli oil alert: It’s spicy, but nice. COMPARISON: Just remember the Richmond Hill location is distinct from their Scarborough location. Richmond Hill is self served, while Scarborough (newer) is fully served, except when it’s time to pay the bill. You get hot water here, and tea in Scarborough. Veggie plate here is more than double the size than in Scarborough. Both kitchens are viewable from the sitting area. Read more
Simplicity at its finest! We have been aware of this wonton noodle house for the past decade and it took us nine years to come in and boy do we regret waiting. Anytime we had passed by in the plaza, there would always be lineups to get in and be ... seated. Luckily for us this was not the situation on Tues. Feb 6th 2024. Food: 5 ⭐️ We ordered their signature dishes A1 and B1 at $12 each as of July 4th 2024. Both have Shrimp wontons, bouncy egg noodles, sliced beef and homemade fish balls A1 is in soup B1 is soup on the side and added oyster sauce on noodles 🍜 We will definitely return!! Best fish all I’ve had and noodles were bouncy and cooked to perfection! I know why it’s always busy and why they’ve been part of the Best Restaurant list. Atmosphere: 4.5 stars ⭐️ Very clean however this is a simple dining restaurant and would not choose this for a special occasion etc. great for luncheons, and casual dining. Parking is plentiful and no cost but the plaza is busy so it’s hard to find a spot. Be prepared with patience. Read more
