Just for those who can't read Chinese, the Chinese name means "Chaozhou Pavilion" or "Teochew Pavilion", and their specialty is Teochew cuisine. This restaurant has been around for a long time. The decor is very interesting in the style of maybe the early 70s in HK but looks a bit tired. Service was excellent the last time we were there. The food was solid, with no surprises one way or the other. ... Generous portions and prices were very reasonable. The standout dish for me was the clay pot rice which in this case was more metal pot rice. The topping was delicious with just the right amount of sauce. I haven’t been back to this place in so long and I should have came back sooner it was that good. Literally all the dishes that we had that I shared with were all fresh,tasty,hot and nothing tasted bad..The veggies and meat and noodles were all so fresh and crisp ... and cooked perfectly. Honestly it was the best Chinese food I have had in a while. My only complaint is that the food came out individually and wish it came out all together as we had to eat each dish one by one. Came here for a large group dinner around 7pm. Nobody told us they closed at 9pm when we first sat down and ordered and by 8:15-8:30 the servers were super rushed, clearing our table before we were finished and constantly asking if we wanted anything else because they were closing ... soon. It was really annoying, especially because we had a large group with guests from overseas and celebrating a special occasion. Really ruined the mood. It's a nice atmosphere for families and couples to enjoy the dim sum or dinner. Very casual, atmosphere. There is a washroom onsite. We had assorted dim sum which was tasty.
