I’ve been enjoying eating here for many years. The food is always fresh and beautifully presented. Last night was a horrible experience with the manager being totally unhelpful or accommodating. Her name is Chloe. I’ve never met her nor have I ever had such a disappointing experience. My friend will ... not be returning because of the poor attitude and lack of customer satisfaction. I usually go at lunchtime and have enjoyed not only the food but the excellent customer service from Karen. I also take advantage of the 10% discount by paying cash. Chloe refused to accept this by saying it only applies to over $50. My bill was $30. So I paid by credit card. I wonder if there’s been a change in management. The food and choices are wonderful but the manager doesn’t seem to care about service. Thank goodness there are many sushi places to choose from. I will take my business elsewhere. Don’t be mistaken by its location in some small plaza. Akane offers you unique experience from the door to your last bite. Easy five star. The food came out tasting delicious and the staff were very friendly. Smaller seating areas but great for a small group.
