The Boathouse Restaurant - Richmond, British Columbia

For the month of November, Boathouse has a secret $35 steak and lobster promotion from Monday to Friday; you have to specifically tell the server. It's a good sized portion (not huge); 7oz steak. For the price, you really can't complain. Comes with a choice of side too! They also have a ... really good Happy Hour menu that seems to run all day (Richmond)! Service was quite good, Food was a little under seasoned but still good. The best thing was probably the lava cake, while it didn't have any "lava" it was a great balance of icecream, strawberry and chocolate

This is a lovely restaurant with easy access going to or from the airport. I was really disappointed with my halibut. Too long in the freezer. The server was lovely. Let people know that the fish is not going to be fresh. Everyone knows the price of halibut. I have ... been going to this restaurant for decades. It has been a 5 star in the past. Overall great dining experience! The happy hour calamari is cheap but u get a very small portion.. The happy hour oysters aren’t that cheap. Joe fortes is cheaper at happy hour and better! The miso sable fish was delicious! Ahi tuna poke was too. Swordfish was over cooked the first time. Sent it back ... and the second time was Better. Burger was good! Service was great! Difficult location to drive into. Near the water but unfortunately parking lot in the way and blinds were closed and really dusty. extremely pricey for portions served. Seafood Chowder and Caesar salad tasty but small. Fish and chips small servings of fish, fries nothing to speak ... of. Cod tacos ok but cod kind of dry. Free bread to start was very tasty. Drinks expensive. Service was good, waitress very knowledgeable. Will not return any time soon as much better places to try for less money and bigger portion sizes. Read more
