Hidden gem for Malaysian foods. We got lost looking for this place fortunately they have a big signboard which can be seen from the main road. This is our favorite Malaysian Cuisine which has a small branch at Aberdeen food court which we frequently visit whenever we can. We want ... to try all their food on the menu so we will order different food on our next visit. All the food we ordered are very tasty and delicious. The serving was also large and can be shared with affordable prices. The amount we paid is half the usual amount we pay for 4 viands. I highly recommend them for you to try them out. Great value for the dollar. Tried 4 things on the menu, 2 mains 2 sides and left the restaurant with around $50. Food was tasty and the wait was not too long, the Roti were my favourite. Lots of parking in the back but they fill up quickly! Would recommend ... for a nice and quick dinner. I gotta compliment their service - there was always someone idle over looking the whole place and can attend to customer within seconds. Nice kind sweet lil angels serving and managing the customers. The only server in Vancouver who was kind anougb to ask water hot/ cold. I’m a Malaysian living in the US. My partner and I have dined at Malaysian restaurants in NYC, Vegas, LA, Minneapolis Chicago & Vancouver. This location won hands down for the food. We ordered the Beef Satay, Beef Rendang Curry and Nonya Creamy Prawn. Absolutely delicious! Everything was packed with ... flavor. The beef was tender, tasted like it has been stewed for hours and the potatoes cooked just right. The coconut rice was very good. We devoured our food and had leftovers for the next day. We dined at Banana Leaf the next day and ordered the same items but just wasn’t as good as John 3:16. The atmosphere requires some work I would say. The ambience is not a place you would take someone on a date or celebrate an event but it’s where one would go just to have good food. Service was attentive and great. This is not how legit Malaysian food should taste like. We tried their CKT and the noodle was not authentic at all. The sauce was too sweet. Just everything was wrong. Unsure how come they are so popular around the area. Anything I tried in the states are much better ... than here. Read more
