Not the same as when they first opened Should have taken the fact they were quiet at 7:30pm on a Friday night as a bad sign. Last time we were here it was several years ago and we enjoyed the food. Now after trying it again, I feel there’s ... better ramen places out there. The deep fried chicken appetizer was very good. It was crunchy and light in texture. We ordered without the sauce as the chicken was seasoned enough that you didn’t need sauce. The main reason you come here is for the ramen which is tasty but at the just under $20 price point, seems smaller in size to other ramen places. The other thing that bothered me was my dish (Niigata Shoyu Special) and my daughter’s dish (dipping noodles) were advertised as having bamboo shoots but when asked, we were told that ingredient is now an additional cost. Their menu is digital so you use a QR code so it’s not so difficult to update the menu instead of just serving people food that doesn’t include all of the sides as advertised. While the ramen served at this restaurant is passable, the dining experience is marred by inadequate service and a noticeable shortage of staff during busy periods. Although the food itself may satisfy cravings, the frustration of waiting excessively and receiving little attention from overwhelmed employees can overshadow the enjoyment of ... the meal. Great atmosphere and service. One of the best ramen I’ve tried. The broth was thick which is great since it stuck to the noodles more making everything flavourful. The cha siu was super soft and tasted great! Pretty decent portion size.

Came here on a friday evening. We arrived 5:30pm so we were the first customers of the day. The interior is nice and spacious, and we got seated at the center table. We ordered two spicy tsukemen noodles. They ran out of bamboo shoots this day, but offered nothing in replacement ... of the missing topping. I even asked explicitly if i can add a topping of the same price point but no luck. Anyhow, the food was okay. The portion was quite large, and the flavour was good, however there are some downsides. The piece of chashu we added was cold. The broth was also just luke warm, and was way too liquidy compared to traditional tsukemen. The noodle had great texture however, which was the saving grace, and you can add some fish soup to the remaining broth which was a nice touch. The reason for the 2 star service was because even though we were one of maybe only five pairs of customers, everything felt rushed. The servers came in abruptly to take our glass of water for refill; they took away our plates the moment we finished our last bite; and they didn't even asked or wait until I am ready to pay before putting the bill in front of me with the machine asking me for payment. I understand if this was done at a more busy time when the table needs to be turned over, but the restaurant was 3/4 empty at the time... The best Reman I have ever had in Canada so far since 2011-2024. They serve their homemade noodles in different kinds fresh made. I have got the Tsukemen which not many Reman restaurants serve in Canada. Fully cool off ramen noodles taking a thick creamy fish warm broth to warm ramen up, ... with this super delicious broth/soup into mouth, that is ridiculously delicious. The Mazu Soba has completely dressed up sauces, fresh warm not steaming hot for people who are hungry, thankful for the chief. This is in my 🇨🇦Canada Top 10 list. Read more
