My 2nd time eating at this Taiwanese owned ramen joint. Love how there's an option for 'extra firm' noodles and that you can choose the spicy level too for the spicy miso and tan tan noodles. My new favourite place to get ramen. Cozy place with decent noodles. Fairly priced, if there’s no self control adding items can get a bit expensive but definitely add some Gyozas to your bowl of noodles and if you’re with family or friends share a large karaage! A Hidden Gem in the heart of Richmond. Ramen Kobo. You can customize your ramen to your liking. Firm noodles, rich soup, this place gives me the old Kintaro vibes. The Chasu is very well done, super tender and like Japan, they only give you one slice. The flavours between ... the soup styles are very distinct unlike other ramen places where the soups all share similar characteristics. Awesome Raman as usual. Their fried chicken is a must order item. Staffs are extremely friendly and polite. Highly recommended. Tried their newly updated menu. Nibo nibo is full of bonito flavor. I don't recall any ramen shop with this type of soup base. So much flavors and very different compare ... to other ramen shops. It's full of ingredients, making it an excellent value for what you paid. Dandan noodle has extra kick from the spice. Another awesome creation from the owner. Tucked in the corner of River Road, Ramen Kobo is one of the newest ramen additions to the city of Richmond. Their menu comes with a couple ramen options along with some sides. At my visit here, I tried their Karaage Tenshoku set and spicy miso ramen. For the spicy miso ... ramen, there are three options for levels of intensity: Mild, Spicy, and "Oh My!" The Karaage Teshoku set comes with 5 pieces of tori karaage, rice topped off with sesame seeds, and three “seasonal sides”. The set featured ajitama, wakame, and pickled radish at our visit this time. The ramen is great. The broth was flavourful and the texture of the noodles were just nicely al dante, despite it being packaged. Compared to the other ramen options in Richmond, Ramen Kobo has definitely made it to the top 3. Read more
