Definitely a 5 star. I went to Shoestring multiple times the past years. Tonight I went again for dinner (they also open for lunch now Mon-Fri 11:30am - 3pm) to celebrate my friend's birthday and it was another exceptional experience. Food were so delicious. Our meal consisted of three courses (x2), including: • 1 appetizer • 1 main • 1 dessert Additionally, we ordered a side of seafood and corn chowder. We began our meal with warm, freshly ... baked bread accompanied by two distinct sauces. The homemade touch was delightful and set a positive tone for the evening. Seafood and Corn Chowder The chowder featured sea scallops, tiger prawns, fresh corn kernels, and cream. This was one of the best seafood and corn chowders I have ever tasted. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a casual meal. The menu offers a ... decent selection of meat and seafood options, but I found the food to be average at best. While some dishes were tasty, others felt salty and overcooked. One positive aspect was the combo deal, which allows you to add $20 to your entree for a full-size appetizer and dessert. This option value was appreciated. The service was friendly, and we appreciated that the servers spoke Cantonese, adding a nice touch to the experience. 📝📝 Food: 🍽 🍽 🍽 Can Try! Update: just went for the dine out menu. Although the portions were a bit smaller, I'll say it was still plenty of food and a great deal for a 3-course meal for $50! It's been a few years since I've visited, but I'm glad they've been able to stay open post-pandemic. ... To my memory, prices have gone up a bit, but aren't unreasonable.
