I like this location and their drinks and desserts and usually no problems. The location is huge and great to meet up with your friends as well. The only issue I had this particular visit was that I ordered 1 Pearl milk tea and "Baku Tea". They were out of ... Baku and offered any other two toppings in which I chose sweet potato and taro balls, and taro past however she made it into two separate drinks w/ toppings separated. Went during spring break at 2:30pm. Noone was in there apart from my daughter and I and the one employee. The owner and someone else were the only other people in there, he was training her paperwork (he spoke quite loudly which was annoying). We ordered the 8 topping shaved ... ice $17 and the sweet potato was undercooked which made it starchy and unpleasant. I overheard them say they were out of one ingredient but couldn't make out which they substituted it with. 🙄 Overall, it was ok. Would probably only go if I was truly craving it but there are definitely better shave ice places out there. Within 30 mins, 10 other people came in for not shaved ice plates. I am not a sweet food lover, but I need some desert after meal sometimes. Meet Fresh brings me many iced deserts. I like cool/cold stuff, such as iced cream. I want fairly sweet but not much., it is hard to have decent sweetness under cold temperatures. Nice place to have good Taiwanese desserts like grass jelly, taro balls, pearls, and especially fresh taro for summertime. The atmosphere and food are good but the services. Staff aren't friendly and helpful as I don't want to use the word "rude" here. And the same with a lot of ... other Chinese restaurants in Richmond, they don't bother to write promotion board in English - just Chinese only so hardly know what's in promotion or special. Read more
