Had a great time trying the summer meal set here and I totally recommend it. They had alot of dipping options so the tastes of the meats didn't get repetitive and boring. The side dishes like the bibimbap were good but I didn't like the fried noodles. Make ... sure you get the cheese fondue cuz that with the meat with the rice is super good. They also had like this really cool grill where it would suck up the smoke. So you don't have to worry about sitting at the wrong spot in the table. a very okay japanese(with korean dishes?) barbeque restaurant. very expensive for the amount of meat that you get. the normal order is mostly beef. the bim bim bap was okay. the service waitress were very nice. the fried udon was okay. nothing in this restaurant gave the holy wow ... this tastes good. i really enjoyed having smores as a desert however, it was nice to have something i don't expect to have in a restaurant. what we got was 280$ very expensive for the ammount of food you get. Gyu kaku has been a go to restaurant for me in Vancouver and it was a pleasant surprise to see they had it in Richmond too. It’s been a long time since I’ve been so a lot have changed newer menu with different types of sets and a variety of ... goodies to add on on the side however, I must admit the food has gotten a little sweet for me. I felt like it was overly seasoned, which made my pallet feel confused. I really like the simplicity of what they offered before.(many years ago!) overall I thought the experience was great. I just wish the food was a little less sweet. My friends and I ordered the meat lovers set. I think it was called? And it’s made for two people, but it was more than enough for three girls eating in. We added some side dishes for extra vegetables! I recommend going but just make sure to let them know if you want to make it less sweet/ salty? 😅 also make sure that you make a reservation via app or phone before heading there. we were fortunate to grab a table on the Saturday night but we had to wait about 30 to 40 minutes!
