Chef Tony’s dim sum doesn’t disappoint. With 6 adults and 2 young kids, we filled our big round table with a wide variety of dim sum. We had more than our fair share of Chef Tony goodness. From their scrumptious cold truffle chicken dish to their steamed salty yolk lava ... buns, there’s something distinctly special about their dish that separates them from other typical dim sum restaurants. Best dim sum in Vancouver. They had fresh shrimp, a must have. I was able to eat here twice during my visit to Vancouver and both times were excellent. Lots of truffle infused dishes. Notable are the shrimp dumplings and the truffle chicken which is served ... cold. Squid ink truffle shrimp dumplings are amazing. Even the regular shrimp dumplings have a truffle taste. They also offer the Tim Ho Wan pork buns which are pretty good. Their egg tart is the best I’ve ever had. So delicate and not eggy. If you want the best dim sum in Vancouver this is the place. Great dimsum but pricey for sure! We were lucky and they were able to accommodate us a table for 6 without reservation but we just had to finish within an hour. There's no shortage of dim sum in Richmond, so you have to be really good if you want to stand out from the crowd, and Chef Tony does this. The notable dishes inside black truffle chicken, black yolk lava buns, shrimp dumplings, green beans, and more. Everything was delicious. Found this spot from YouTube videos recommending best dim sum spots in Vancouver! We ordered the salted egg yolk bun, egg white tarts, Siu Mai, Har Gow and 2 Cheung Funs. The salted egg yolk bun is worth the hype! It was one of the main reasons we decided to go ... here! Another favourite was the egg white tarts which were outside the ordinary egg tarts! We loved it! As for the rest of the classic Dim Sum dishes, they were decent! I do believe the place is pricy even though they give you a bigger portion than most restaurants (just one more dumpling). I'd say the service is as you expect, if you've ever been to Dim Sum, it's not something we prioritize or notice as long as our food eventually comes, we're happy! We definitely love the dishes here! But we found it pricier than we expected. But I guess maybe that's just Vancouver pricing? For sure recommend coming here though, especially if you're just visiting Vancouver! It's an experience.
