unexpectedly pleasant dinning experience. good place for casual family dinners. would recommend the hakka braised tofu and eggplant pot (forgot the exact name); the tofu was tender on the inside and crisp on the outside; the whole dish was very flavorful. the hakka salted chicken was succulent and cooked perfectly. ... the fried sticky rice was good as well if not too greasy. the owner was very nice and generous, giving us free desserts since we ordered 5 people's share for a family of 3. this is a fairly small restaurant. This place is a HIDDEN GEM. The Lunch specials are so cheap and you get a complimentary daily soup with it. All under $10. Hakka Steamed Salted Chicken w/ Rice $8.50 Mushroom & Chicken Congee $5.90 The Hakka Steamed Salted Chicken w/ Rice was very delicious. It's a must order. The portion size is ... so big that 2 small eaters can just share it and order a different dish to try. Congee on the other hand wasn't too great. It was cheap but it had way too much MSG. Chicken was overcooked so it didn't have the smooth texture. The lady server was very nice and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place. PS. Possibly Richmond's best kept secret for delicious Chinese food - it's easy to miss if you're not looking! Was with my family, on our way to another place when we passed by C Wok. Decided on a whim to give it a try and I am glad we did. ... The service is friendly, and the food is delicious. I've been back several times since then and it has been great each time. I would recommend the hakka steamed chicken, and the fried tofu with fish paste. Nice simple place to bring family or friends. Read more
