Reviews for Boy With a Knife in Richmond, British Columbia
WOW! We just hosted an event where we used Boy with a knife as the caterer and I am so impressed. The grazing table they built was beautiful, well priced and the food was delicious. Homemade spreads and chutneys that everyone was raving about and overall a wonderful selection of ... foods that exceeded my expectation. They went as far as including to go boxes for us to use to ensure no food got wasted. And even prior to the event they ensured they understood the space and went as far as going to see the venue themselves. I highly recommend Boy with a knife and will use them in the future for any other events I'm hosting. Read more
Boy With A Knife is simply “One of the BEST” restaurants in Richmond and the Lower Mainland, eat inside or on the patio. I arrived at about 2:17pm just before they were to close at 2:30pm. I was thinking they may not be able to serve me for a late ... lunch. Boy, was I wrong! Sally, my amazing and welcoming server said, no problem, come on in!! I ordered the C.B.A., a Chicken, Bacon, Avocado sandwich, on a super yummy brioche bun with red onion, lettuce and tomato. But, I switched out the bacon for smoked cheddar cheese and instead of Jalapeño Ranch dressing I opted for Garlic Mayo. OMG! Jody, the chef is so good at his job, honestly you’ve got to try this, it’s absolutely delicious. I also upgraded the regular fries for the heavenly, Garlic, Parmesan Fries, which were piled high on my plate looking like some kind of cool architectural design!! The side of garlic mayo dip is the tastiest one I’ve had!! Between the wonderful welcoming Sally, David and Chef Jody and the mouthwatering food, BWAK is a hit and a place you just have to visit!! It’s a restaurant bar open only in the daytime and has a deli for morning take outs!! You’re gonna love it!! Read more
We can't help but share our absolute delight with the incredible catering provided by Boy with a Knife at our wedding! Our guests raving and no detail was overlooked by Joey and the team! The presentation was a feast for the eyes and service level was top notch. The staff was ... attentive and friendly and ensured everything flowed smoothly. The menu was diverse and catered perfectly to our preferences, and we appreciate how they accommodated dietary restrictions and special requests. The creativity in their dishes showcased a true passion for their craft. Thank you for turning our wedding reception into an elevated our celebration. We wholeheartedly recommend BWAK! Read more
Warning: Do not come here during your lunch break! Warning #2: Not sanitary (worker sneezed while making the burger an still served it) Don't get me wrong, the servers are great, very kind, but very slow... Took awhile to get the physical menu after we were seated (at least 5 minutes). By ... the time the server came back, it was already 10 minutes that passed. We ordered 2 burgers, one was the miso mushroom burger (which is in the photo) and a Maq Burger. Didn't order any upgrades since it was very expensive. Pros: - The burger was really good, fresh. - The fries were good, a bit salty side though. (it's similar to mcdonald's) - Server is nice, atmosphere is nice and the vibe is good. Cons: - The upgrades are very expensive...$5 to upgrade your fries when other places wouldn't charge so much. - One of the cooks sneezed and didn't cover it, continued putting ingredients into our burger as I watched him continue to put it on the table that it was ready to be grabbed. He didn't even wash his hands after... disgusting. - overall, eating here with 2 people took more than an hour, you'll be late for work if you eat during break - the opening hours are catered around 8am-2:30pm on weekdays (no weekends), it's designed to serve workers nearby but with the slow service... it's hard to sustain as a business when people have a time crunch. - the washroom is dark by the way, so if you need to use the washroom it'll be rough to see. Likely not going to come back since the timings are off, came here since I used to work nearby and wanted to come back again, but looks like quality of service may have dropped a bit. Read more
What a cool joint! First time visit yesterday, and the experience was amazing for a business lunch. Food was excellent, and fairly priced, the staff were fortified with a great attitude and sense of humor, and while the place has "no view" it is comfortably decorated to provide a ... cool vibe experience. Thanks everyone, that was awesome! Read more
