The Canadian Brewhouse & Grill - Richmond, British Columbia

My friend is vegetarian and we came to Brewhouse a week prior and had an amazing time and the server accommodated my vegetarian friend by getting her a taco with an impossible meat patty, and did not charge her extra as the menu has basically no vegetarian options. We came ... in today and asked for the same meal for my friend as there are no other options. The server asked the manager and came back to say they would charge my friend an extra $4 for the impossible patty for one taco. For context the taco on taco Tuesday is $3.49 so my friend would be paying over $7 for one taco on taco Tuesday. We asked the server what to order then for vegetarian people, and she responded “vegetarian people just don’t order tacos.” This is completely discriminatory as they already don’t offer options for vegetarians. I expect better from management in 2024. Absolutely disgusting. Then we ordered mango margaritas and we noticed the first drinks weren’t strong mango flavoured. My friend ordered a second one and it came with mango juice in it and you could tell the colour difference. We asked our server as ours were lime and instead of telling us she will fix it she said “what do YOU want to do.” I asked her nicely if we could get the mango ones. She took our drinks and brought out the same cups with mango juice added and it just tasted like juice. As you can see in the pictures it’s the same glass as me and my friend previously licked the rim. I don’t know why this server is acting like everything comes out of her paycheque but her mood towards us definitely changed. Mind you management never came to check on our table. Went here for mother's day and my mom loved getting a free meal. The servers were so friendly and bubbly and the food was good! The eggs benny was delicious. Great place to go if there's a game on. One of the staff noticed my dad trying to watch the ... golf game and adjusted the TV for him because we went when it wasn't busy, which was above and beyond. Read more

Came to eat on Saturday. Attended a fundraiser. There was over 100 attendees. It was also canucks game on. Seems like there was only 2 servers serving us, and running our drinks and food, as it was quite hard to locate her at times. But when she made her way ... here, she was attentive. The attendance of the fundraiser included a $7.99 voucher that was made by them, but it indicate a restriction which had no description. We ordered wings, nacho, beer, poutine, 12oz ribeye for dinner, which we found out none of the item were eligible to redeem. 4 of us spent $220 and could not even use the $7.99 voucher. Apparently it’s only good for a specific type of bottle beer, and regular fries. My pint of sunsetter wasn’t eligible and neither was poutine. So weird. When dinner came i found my ribeye thinly sliced. I asked for medium rare, it was obviously a medium well. Quite a chewy cut for a ribeye. The 12oz ribeye included the cap, which seemed like a 4oz cap, which was 100% fat. Server didn’t check up on us (as she probably had too big of a section), so I just ate what I could and left the rest. The shrimp wasn’t bad and neither was the mash. Susan gives amazing customer service. Food was ok and kitchen was a bit slow. Overall, price is right, great location, great atmosphere and staff sings happy birthday songs, which was nice!

A friend of mine recommended this place and I was absolutely blown away by the level of attention to detail, culture, service and atmosphere this place had. It has flat screen televisions as far as the eye can see, celebration lighting, and a very cohesive and immersive sport atmosphere. The ... staff also add to the appeal of this establishment as they are really friendly, welcoming, and professional people that create a laid back and friendly environment for guests. The food is very generous in size and is best enjoyed by sharing. Having said that, the food is flavourful, hot and well made and tastes really fresh. Dining spaces and bathrooms are clean and well maintained. This place is genuinely curated for groups so if you have a few friend to tag along with you, it won’t be a problem to accommodate your party. I had a lovely first experience and have been recommending this venue to friends already. Can’t wait to come back for a drink in the near future. Read more
