U Grill - Richmond, British Columbia

Very rude customer service. I have been coming here for years & they used to have friendly guys on the grill! However, came in today (Monday Nov 21st at 1pm) while it was completely empty; no line up & no other customers (so no excuse for being in a busy ... rush) and there was a 20-30 something year old girl on the grill who had the absolute worst attitude I’ve ever experienced in any restaurant or fast food setting. Shocking to see such a plummet in their customer service. Would recommend their management address this poor quality in customer service ASAP. Read more

Half of this is full of rice , and charged me $31!!!! RIP OFF! WASTE OF MONEY. They use to charge 2.39 ish /100g. Now it's lile 7.50!? This is not worth it. Cut your own veggies or goto goodbowl! Can have 2 bowls like this and better. I use to ... come here often but never again Read more

Fresh (really good quality veggies) food you choose cooked perfectly right there in front of you with sauces you choose. It is inherently great food. The service was efficient and prompt. That equals fast food perfection. I have no idea why done reviewers say the service is so bad that the whole experience ... gets 1 star. Even those review say the food is good and fresh. This is a 4+ star fast food place at least. 5 stars from me. If this is a chain, I'll certainly try other locations as well. Read more

This is a tough one because my son likes their teriyaki beef. But like others before me, the chef and cashier are terrible with customer service. It bothers me when you pay for food and it feels like they have skimped on their servings. I was appalled that they used ... this particular container and it was literally filled with less than a cup of white rice. (See pic) If I knew it would be like this, I’d ask for a smaller bowl because it was a waste of space. I looked at the container and said, “You guys really skimped on the rice, huh?” The cook didn’t respond and stared at me blankly. I will try to dissuade my son from eating here because of the lack of attention to customer service. I should’ve read the room when there was no one in line. My suggestion is to spend your money on a place that is worth it. U-Grill in the Richmond Centre food court is simply not that. Read more

I agree with the earlier poster. Like many of the Mongolian grill style is places you can be surprised by the bill at the end as it is by weight. The good news is that the food is fresh usually and the spicing is to your request. During lunch rush ... this can get quite slow as several patrons are delivering their bowls. Parking is available from the mall (rooftop is closest) or you can use transit from the Canada line and the nearby bus hub. Read more
