The 30 dollars shrimp contains kidney harmful chemical preservative, Tripoyphosphate. The server didn’t care the food quality. They didn’t clean the shrimp Intestine. Avoid this restaurant. You can find a better one in that price.

Ordered the preserved vegetable rice cake dish and it came with no flavour. No wok hei, no preserved vegetable flavour, it was tasteless. I also ordered the drunken chicken, that was very good. The smoked duck was not bad but needed more smoke flavour. The xlb was thick ... skinned yet still ripped when picking it up, and there wasn't too much soup in the xlb, flavour wasn't great either. The food was pretty good, portion size was ok. The only thing that upsets me is that the menu said the soup dumplings brought 8 pieces but we only got 6. Same with the steamed buns which we only got 4 pieces when the menu said 6. I guess this ... is shrinkflation. Other than that, everything was good. Read more

Long time no have Shanghai cuisine, so today just happened to be in Richmond. After checking some information, we chose this restaurant that was recommended as the best Shanghai cuisine restaurant of 2022. Parking at the entrance was relatively easy, and the restaurant itself wasn't particularly large, but it looked ... bright and clean. The menu had a variety of dishes, but they all seemed quite expensive. We ordered Braised Bamboo Shoots, Shredded Chicken & Vermicelli, and Pan-fry Shredded Pork with Sauce, served with crepes. Overall, we were quite disappointed. The bamboo shoots were only sweet, and the chicken had an unpleasant texture. Only the crepes and the flavor of the pork were decent.
