Overall, the food here is good and the portions are well worth the price. Finding a nice place in metro Vancouver that won’t hurt you’re wallet too much is hard to come by, but with most dishes under 20$ and very fairly large portion sizes, this Korean restaurant in Richmond ... is my go-to. We ordered a couple of dishes. I really liked the chicken bulgogi, it’s tasty, the portion is great and it’s not overly spicy and has a good amount of chicken for 18$. The seafood pancake was also quite good, wasn’t too overly greasy and had a good crunch to it as opposed to many others that are often too cakey and have less filling. Overall, this place in Richmond is pretty solid, I’d come back and try other things here and it’s just across from the Public Market. Solid 7.5/10 Read more
The food here is pretty good however, the service is not great. When I went a couple weeks ago the salad and Katsu came with their own respective sauce on the side. I strongly dislike the salad sauce therefore this time I asked if I could just get 2 katsu ... sauces instead of getting a salad sauce and a katsu sauce. The waitress replied with a cold “no” and I thought that was the end of that. The same waitress couldn’t seem to hear as well because she couldn’t get anyone else’s order without saying “huh?” Luckily, we asked someone else who seemed to be higher up in charge and she gave me my extra katsu sauce and no salad dressing. Apparently now they do the sauces directly on the foods so I just got an extra katsu sauce. Read more
Even though there is a picture showing what the dish looks like, I was still shocked by the size of the katsu when I came here for the first time. The prices are very reasonable for what you're getting too. This is the place to go if I ever crave ... for any pork, chicken, or fish katsu. Some of my friends love coming to this place, and I can see why. The only disappointing thing about this restaurant is that they don't offer a variety of side dishes and there is no free refill. Great food and clean dining atmosphere. The seafood pancake was spot on today, as the pancake was perfectly cooked and not extremely greasy. The beef bulgogi was rich in flavour and nicely seasoned. The sweet and sour chicken was also delicious and the chicken remained crispy even after it has ... been entirely coated with sauces. The only improvement I can think about for this restaurant would be improving their attitude towards the customers as we didn’t felt too welcomed today. Read more
Good casual Korean food restaurant in the heart of Richmond. The building & store itself is old, but the food makes up for the shabby interior. We ordered the don katsu & fried dumpling & dolsot bibimbap. Their portion was massive considering its price (all in $10s pre tax & tip). ... They taste pretty good as well. The fries that comes with the donkatsu had a string of metal scrub stuck to it, so we let the server know, and they did not charge for the donkatsu order only & apologized for their mistake. The staff was friendly and the service was pretty quick. Hope they are better with the hygiene next time. I would come again in a small group (4 or less) early for lunch time, as the parking could get crazy here with a lot of other restaurants in the plaza sharing the parking lot. Read more
