Our go to place for Taiwanese quick meal. Our favourite dish is “Satay Stewed Lamb Belly on Steamed Rice” (沙茶羊控肉燴飯), meat is super tender and juicy, we also like the fact that there’s plenty of greens that are stir fried with the meat. The taste and textures are very authentic Taiwanese. ... Our favourite drink is “Ferrero Rocher Milk Tea” so smooth and not super sweet. The only thing we don’t like is the parking there and the wait time. Read more
We ordered Taiwanese deep fried chicken rice , beef noodles and the Taiwanese pork sausage. Everything was very good and tasted. Service was very friend and timely manner. Only But I would say that I ordered appetizers and they served them after what could be considered main dish. So...why calling them appetizers ... if you serve them last? I would recommend it. A solid 4 The restaurant was giving away complimentary dishes of the Taiwan Cabbage and White Water Snowflake as part of the "Best of Kaosiung Taiwan Agricultural Promotion Event 2018" sponsored by Taione Trading so we had to drop in for a visit. I'm just going to jump right into the review ... of the food. Not much to comment on service/interior. Taiwan cabbage: lightly seasoned, goes well with rice; excellent texture; White water snowflake: it's served with bacon and it gives it just the right amount of salt; great texture; again, pairs well with rice or plain noodles. Pepper beef noodle: portions were huge; a little bit too much for one person; best shared with others Beef roll: it was a tad cold in the inside (not sure if it was intentional) and warm-ish on the outside. good flavour; tad oily Deep fried squid ball / mushrooms: standard; pretty much what you'd expect from any other bubble tea cafe The standouts were the two Taiwanese vegetable dishes. They're definitely hard to come across at a full fledged restaurant, let alone a small café, and they're both definitely worth a try. Read more
Most Taiwanese food is amazingly good. Drinks are ok I guess. Stir fry noodle stay away (soapy after taste that reminds you that you have a dirty mouth when you are a kid "bar soap in the mouth anyone?")
This is legitimate Taiwanese cuisine. Very good food all around, for real. Now, the pictures I have don't look amazing, but that's to do with my own photo-taking being garbage. Having said that, this place is not huge on presentation anyway so it'll give you an idea on what to ... expect. Look I ain't got much else to comment on, but if you've ever been to Taiwan (and loved the food), this place can bring you back with every bite. That's the short of it. Read more
