We were charged by the hour before the all-you-can-sing song rate starts which is fine. However, it takes them 7 mins to get you to a room and load the karaoke program. Then we wasted another 5 mins with a remote control that didn't even work. Then another 3 ... mins to get the karaoke program to fully worked. ...we've lost at least 17 mins off the charged by the hr which was not compensated for. The clock on the karaoke machine was 3 mins fast. We had our last song cut off in the middle and the program rebooted itself before the hour was up. So we've lost a total of 20 mins. Furthermore, why are we paying 10% tip at the end with the bill that is required? There was no service. We were shown to our room and were given back our govt ID at the end. I heard that the newly opened karaoke had better MTVs that match the song. This is the main reason attracting us and it turned out to be the only good think I can think about K-mix. Several things annoyed us during the 3 h singing. First of all, they don't take ... our appointment seriously. They didn't even ask my name when i called for appointment. When we arrived, they didn't find our appointment record. Fortunately they still had a small room for us. But i am very unhappy about their carelessness. The room (107) and stereo are good. But the air conditioning is terrible, either TOO hot or TOO cold. The microphone is not functioning well either, only working intermittently. We have to change it at least 3 times. We don't know whether it is a battery or microphone issue. The waitress came periodically to sell water or beverage, which make people uncomfortable. She even explained that the room charge is small ($40/h) and they want to make some profit from drinks. I can judge the way they do business. But definitely this reminds me the benefits of the Star karaoke that you can bring whatever you want and no one would be there to bother you. Read more
