Been years since we last dined at Gingeri in Lansdowne. We were in the area in January so decided to try them out again. First off, the chiu chow style dumplings were good. They were stuffed with plentiful filling and had a soft and translucent skin. The beef rice roll was ok ... but thought the rice roll was a bit too thick. The deep fried crab claw with shrimp paste were pretty tiny and served with a sweet and tangy dipping sauce. Nice that you can get it outside of a banquet meal. The steamed mini sticky rice was ok... nothing great or bad... just standard. We did like the book tripe (beef omasum) in green onion and ginger sauce. Big portion and tender. Ended with the baked tapioca pudding with taro. This wasn't that great. The texture was off and didn't have a crispy cookie top and the taro was large pieces as opposed to being mashed. Read more
