Stumbled on this shanghainese restaurant on a whim on the way to the airport. Been here twice so far and both times the food was delicious. Loved the hot & spicy soup and cumin lamb (not pictured)

Food: Awful. Only acceptable item was the Xiaolong Bao (pork dumpling). Other items are just under average to near awful. Service: Non-existent. Staff nowhere to be found except bringing you food and getting the bill. No one comes to take away finished dishes, or to refill water. The XLB’s has the best soup. The pan fried dumplings has a bit took much skin. But the soup in it was also tasty. I really enjoyed the bounce of the noodles. We also ordered hot and sour soup but forgot to take a pic. A very enjoyable lunch with friends.

Too busy enjoying the authentic shanghainese food to take pictures! Xiaolongbao and wonton were the best I've had in Vancouver. Rice cakes were flavorful but the portion was relatively small. Sesame rice balls could benefit from more finely grounded peanuts. Overall, decent food, reasonable price, attentive staff, great atmosphere. Not sure about ... the negative reviews, but I'm visiting again! Read more
