Bubble Tea Review • Location: 8368 Capstan Way, Unit 1318, Richmond, BC V6X 4B4 Food: • Hot Pot with Lamb: The portion size was quite small, offering a limited amount of lamb and vegetables. The soup itself was unremarkable, lacking any distinct flavors or standout qualities. This dish earns a rating of 5 out of ... 10. • Beef Noodle Soup: This dish was average at best. The meat was on the tougher side, making it less enjoyable. Overall, it was a rather forgettable dish, meriting a 5 out of 10. • Assorted Marinated Plate (3 kinds): This was a highlight of the meal. We selected fish cake, pork intestines, and beef shank, all of which were really good and flavorful. For $17.95, it offered excellent value. This dish rates an 8 out of 10. • Wonton in Chili Sauce: This was the standout dish of the meal. The wontons were delicious, with a good balance of flavor and spice. I thoroughly enjoyed this dish, which deserves an 8 out of 10. Drinks: • Slushes: We ordered two slushes, mango and taro. Both were quite disappointing. The drinks had large chunks of ice that were not properly blended, making them less enjoyable. Despite the variety of drink choices available, the quality was lacking. Both drinks score a 2 out of 10. Ambiance: The ambiance was average, with nothing particularly noteworthy. The booth chairs were quite hard, which made seating uncomfortable for extended periods. Service: The service was mediocre. The staff did not check on how our food was or ask if we wanted a refill of water. This aspect of the experience merits a 4 out of 10. Price: The pricing is affordable, earning a 2 out of 5. Verdict: Overall, the experience at Bubble Tea was underwhelming. While there were a few highlights, such as the assorted marinated plate and the wonton in chili sauce, the overall quality of the food and drinks was lacking. Given the many options available in Richmond within the same food category, it might be a while before we return to this place. The variety of choices at similar establishments makes it difficult to justify a quick return. Read more
