The Cottage - Regina, Saskatchewan

The food was great and the atmosphere was some of the best you will find in Regina for a classy, cozy and quiet dinner setting. Prices are high but are to be expected for a restaurant of this calibre. Service from the hostess was top notch, but our server (an older ... gentleman) turned up his nose at a $20 tip on a $150 pre tax bill which is very standard and plenty of additional *optional* money to pay for someone simply doing their job. I am talking a complete 180 from originally friendly attitude to tossing the receipt down on the table rudely and walking away without so much as a thanks. Not a very great feeling to leave the restaurant with after paying such high prices.. I’d have tipped nothing if I knew that this was the reaction to get. So not a perfect experience but I can’t ding the whole restaurant for the servers behaviour so I would probably return. I am not sure you’ll find a comparable experience in Regina. Read more

This is one of the best experiences and meals I've ever had in North america. The service was excellent, the food was delicious and the entire evening was a true delight. I couldn't recommend this place enough!

Had lunch at The Cottage this week. Have not been here for years and was certainly impressed with the updated ambiance and decor. So well done, inviting and relaxing. Great service, excellent Lunch menu, delicious food! Steak Sandwich was cooked to perfection, accompanied with a delicious Lentil soup! A friend had the Boneless Ribs, which ... came with soup and bonus Cesar salad. A big thank you to the Chefs in the kitchen who we never see! The online dinner menu has a nice array of offerings. This is a wonderful restaurant to go to. They have a lovely menu without being overwhelming, and it is a quiet, dark atmosphere which is perfect for a romantic evening out. The baked feta was a perfect start to the evening and we were so pleased with our meals.
