Smitty’s - Regina, Saskatchewan

All around a good experience, but the chef this morning was a total rock star. We came in late on Father’s Day morning, and someone was checking in on us and updating us while we waited in line. From what I could see, the chef was bringing his own dishes ... out fresh, and came to talk to me personally about substitutions when something we wanted had run out. Ruined Father’s Day for us, the teenage girl working there (hostess?) with the black hair and facial piercing was absolutely rude and unmannered. Led us to a dirty table and threw the menu on top of the pieces of food from the previous family to cover it up. When asked ... to clean it she rolled her eyes. Took 3 different waitresses to bring our drinks and the food which came an hour later and cold. That same hostess tried to charge us for it. Never coming back, and will never recommend. Read more

On May 18th my husband, daughter and myself ate at the Golden Mile Smiity's in Regina, Saskatchewan. We all ordered breakfast meals. I ordered a bacon, cheese and mushroom omlette with cubed hashbrowns and raisin bread. The omlette looked very greasy. The first bite was tasteless. The second bite left ... me with a mouthful of grease. I could eat anymore as that turned me off. When the waitress came I told her to which she responded I get it out of your way. Never offered me anything else or a discount on my meal. I have ate this at other Smitty's and it was delicious. I was very disappointed in the meal and the service. Horrible servers, mixed up the drinks, charged me full price for a side salad and didn't correct the bill. Ignored the teenager at the table and assumed I was his mother. One of the waitresses was wearing a sports bra as a top, in a family restaurant is that appropriate?

I have been dining at Smitty's for a while now. The place is clean and the booths are comfortable. Staff members are professional and helpful. I will continue to explore the menu here because the overall vibe is good, and the food is also good.
