Perkins Restaurant & Bakery - Regina, Saskatchewan

I recently visited Perkins for brunch with my family, and unfortunately, our experience left us disappointed. While the restaurant had some redeeming qualities, several key aspects were lacking. My wife and I both ordered the Double-Bacon Benny. My wife had to send her entire plate back because her food was so ... cold. My hashbrowns were hard they were so cold, the hollandaise sauce was chalky, and the English muffins were soggy from sitting so long. On the flip side, the grandparents' Build-A-Breakfast was mostly fine, except for another instance of cold hashbrowns. My daughter enjoyed her rainbow pancakes, which were a hit. The service staff were courteous and responsive; they promptly remade my wife's meal when we raised our concerns. The restaurant itself was clean and had a pleasant bustling atmosphere. At $20 per plate, the quality of the food did not match the price. Given the issues with the meal, it felt disappointing to pay as much as we did. While the restaurant was busy, which is often a good sign, the overall experience did not meet our expectations. Despite the efforts of the excellent staff and the cleanliness of the establishment, the main reason for our visit—to enjoy a satisfying meal—fell short. Although Perkins seems to be a popular spot, it’s clear that there's room for improvement. This was the first of many visits for me, the staff are awesome, and my waitress made my Vist very enjoyable. The meal I chose was perfect. I can't wait to pay them a visit again and try something new.

Good Customer Service. However, the food was underwhelming. The beef in the skillet was freezer burnt you can see from the picture. I try to be fair with these reviews but sometimes for the price point of some dishes there is a certain level of food quality expected. Unfortunately what I ... got today was not worth the price. Everything that was served to us was frozen prior to being cooked. I know it's a common practice but if you can taste the freezer... most definitely a step was missed. And I am sure some people do like the flavor but today it didn't work for me. Maybe the other breakfast menu is better. I also have a thing for plastic cups because they do not clean very well and they look dirty over time. Also if people are going to be handling food, give them an apron to shield their clothes from food splatter. If not they end up looking dirty. Read more

Definitely one of my top 5 breakfast and brunch places in Regina. It’s a budget friendly restaurant that serves amazing delicious meals. My first experience here was amazing and so I’ve been here a few more times and it was even better each visit. So here’s an honest review : - The ... wait time to get your meal is pretty small compared to other restaurants. - The strawberry milkshake is unmatched. Possibly the best I’ve had in Regina.
