Red Lobster - Regina, Saskatchewan

I haven't been to Red Lobster in years because the food had gone downhill, in my opinion. I was pleasantly surprised at how good everything tasted this time and how well my shrimp was cooked. I don't like it when I can bounce it off the table it's so rubbery, ... but it was properly cooked and very fresh tasting. My friend had the lobster feast and she said everything was great! Sadly, our server was not up to par. She didn't come for 15 minutes to start. We got 3 biscuits to share between two of us, and that was it. I thought they were supposed to keep bringing them? My salad came after my meal. I'd ordered a meal to take home with me, and it was forgotten about. Service is important to me because I come from the service industry. I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience at Red Lobster in Regina. The dinner was exquisite, with shrimp and lobster dishes that were consistently on point. This is one my families favorite places to dine when we're in the city. From the warm, fresh, biscuits to the outstanding service we receive every time, we can't help but love it. Today, I tried the lobster and shrimp tacos, and had the escargot as an appetizer. The escargot is ... something I order every time we're in, it's just so deliciously cheesy. My family loves visiting Red Lobster when we go to any city. This is my first trip by myself so I kept the tradition alive. I sat in the lounge, had excellent service from Kiarra. Only reason it wasn't a 5 star experience was because I ordered off the promo menu ... and received smaller portions of food I typically get for the same price. (Specifically the Garlic shrimp, I was only served 5 and typically it's a PACKED tray of I estimate 9+) I wish that was better communicated, I know that is a corporate choice, not this individual location. Experience...Not good. Had to wait for an hour before food was served. Ordered medium rare steak, got a well-done one instead (see picture), lacked flavor too! The lady who attended to us apologized for the delay in serving our food which was good, but then said initially that the bill ... will be on the house because of the delay as per the manager, only to return and say that it wasn't and a discount will be given instead. Proper communication needs to be better. Lobster tasted great though esp the sauce, I have to give credit to that. I like the ambiance of the place. But overall, not a very good dine-in experience.
