We ate lunch here today. Lots of choices on the menu but we were very disappointed in the food. The salad was a cheap bagged salad, the Italian wedding soup tasted like it came out of a can. We called and asked if we could make a reservation for 8:45. As we knew they close at nine. Wanted to ensure they could still take us that close to closing time. She said that they could take us no problem and we didn’t need a reservation as they were ... empty. We arrived at 8:30 and the doors were locked. We called and she said yup, the manager said if there were no new tables to close the doors. I asked if she told him that we were coming? She just repeated that, “ he said if no new tables to lock the doors.” We had just driven 7 hours. We had pursued the menu, to ensure that we could order right away and were looking forward to a nice meal. Sadly, we were rudely ignored and shut out. The open sign was still on!! The service staff are wonderful, they are prompt, helpful and kind. I ordered the 20oz prime rib! What a piece of meat! I failed to take the entire thing down maybe 2 oz’s left on my plate, I tried my best haha. The prime rib is seasoned to perfection topped with a ... scrumptious Yorkshire pudding and smothered in an ambrosial gravy. My wife ordered the chicken cordon bleu, a delightfully crispy stuffed piece of heaven. It’s difficult to find a quality meal in this horrendous economy, but Ranch house delivers a fantastic meal. Great menu selection. We both had specials, steak and shrimp, and arctic char, very delicious. Our waitress was very articulate at explaining the menu options and very kind and efficient. Definitely recommend and would definitely return.
