Reviews for Cora Breakfast and Lunch in Red Deer, Alberta
Just passing through and wanting a decent breakfast. Cora’s was wonderful! Excellent service and a delicious meal, clean and bright facilities. We ordered the Ben and the Jessica, which made me laugh. We’ve not been to Cora’s in a while, so the entrees named after people made my day. Our server, ... Patel, was so lovely . Apart from the service, my favourite thing was the potatoes! Thanks for a fantastic experience. Read more
Took my 3 kids out for lunch, chose Cora’s because I phoned ahead and they seemed to be willing to accommodate allergies (one has severe allergies), and it’s been a while since I’ve been there but always had good experiences before. Not sure if it’s under new ownership since ... then, but it was terrible. For my child with allergies, I ordered potatoes, bacon and fruit. Received ONE, literally one, strawberry that’s looked like it was almost bad and see through bacon. My other son ordered pancakes, which we were charged extra for because that flavour wasn’t included in the kids menu, when they showed up they were dry and had none of the stuff on it they were supposed to have, despite being charged extra. And I ordered eggs Benedict with hard pouched eggs. One egg was medium, the other was runny and unedible, still charged for this even after pointing this out. Again, see through bacon. And on top of this, they had given 2 of my kids a colouring sheet, and I asked for more while we were waiting for our food and was refused. Honestly, how cheap can you be? Will not be going back. Spent $70 and not one of us finished our meal. Read more
After camping for a week and just wanting a decent meal we decided to go to Cora’s. I’ve been to 5 different locations and eat at Cora’s restaurants every chance we get. Today was our first bad experience. I want to start by saying the actual server was beyond kind and amazing. I ... would give the experience 5 stars based on her. She was phenomenal with my kids and even brought them balloons when they were getting restless. However, I ordered the Penelope wrap and they were clearly low on ingredients and didn’t want to explain before just bringing out what they tried to pass as a breakfast. When asked about the quality the “manager” just reread the ingredients to me like I was dumb. I clearly understood being a vegetarian what was in it and this was not the quality of your other locations. (I get this meal every single time lol) When a young family comes in and spends over $100 on breakfast it better have more than onion and 3 chunks of egg in it. Very disappointing experience because I know Cora’s holds their quality to a higher standard than the Redder location did today. We’ve never had a bad meal here until today and they did absolutely nothing to correct it. 3/4onion with that one chunk of the chickpea patty and literally 3 chunks of egg. Both halves were like this 🤢 Read more
This venue is participating in the Government of Alberta's COVID Program. Really appreciate for looking after customer safety. I am regular customer here - this Restaurant is “Excellent place for breakfast, lovely staff members & owner”. Always served tasteful & warm breakfast. Love the place. Worth waiting in lineup if I ... have to. Read more
Went for breakfast and the food was served cold, the tea was lukewarm. The waitress kept running around like she was busy yet only four tables beside each other were being waited on including myself. The waitress would instantly mad dash from the back to serve lukewarm food. After nearly ... 15 minutes I decided to go to the counter to pay for my food, then waited another 2 minutes until I got the attention of a cook to get a hold of the waitress. The waitress once again dashed from the back to the front counter. I finally got to pay, and with my impression decided to not leave a tip. I cannot recall the last time I was this unsatisfied with just a simple breakfast meal. I have no idea what business model intentionally makes a person look like they are running a marathon, and serves cold food and tea. I won't be ever returning to this place, Phil's is a strictly better oriented business for the local area, and I would never recommend this restaurant. Read more
