Fortune Palace Restaurant - Prince George, British Columbia

I had a delightful meal at this restaurant. The sweet and sour pork was perfectly balanced and delicious, and the chow mein was full of flavor. The ambiance was cozy, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming.

So very disappointed with the meal.a dinner for 2 and a lettuce wrap and add on 2 egg roll 2 spring roll came to over $95. The lettuce wrap that was $25 consistented of basically Celery with a few dry noodles and chinese bacon sprinkled in. The spring rolls were ... soggy the food lacked flavor. Disappointed in the meal. Ordered food to have delivered while fueling my Semi. Fried rice had weird taste ,I asked for no broccoli but got it anyway. The garlic ribs were ok but the rest of the food was not very good. Driving a big truck could not get into getting my food, although I drove right ... by iton my way to get fuel but definitely cost $34.00 with tip. I definitely will not order from there again. So last night we decided to give Fortune Palace another chance considering it was on our route through town. The vegetables have always been questionable. Again, last night was no different. The chow mein tasted old and the carrots were not fresh. None of us ate the carrots because on ... the outside they had a black, dark colour which tells me that they are not fresh. This isn’t the first review I have left, so in order to place this review, I had to delete the last one. I also didn’t bother calling because we found the owner was not the most friendly customer service savvy person in the past. The restaurant “Good Chef” is in our area and we have found their food a lot better and fresher. Safe to say we won’t be back to Fortune Palace unless new owners arrive, not even for convenience sake. Read more

Great place for a good classic fresh well-prepared Chinese food. We were staying in a hotel in Prince George for a month and we got takeout from Fortune Palace twice and had a great experience so just cited to drop by there to eat in the dining room for a ... change. We came in almost 9 PM (They’re open till 10 PM) So we were the only ones there and they took our order and came out of the kitchen for us very quickly. All the vegetables were nice and fresh properly cooked but still had a nice crunch & texture. The meat in the dishes were nicely marinated and tender with good flavor. We got the beef and Bok choy, Almond Guy Ding, And their barbeque pork. I asked if they made it in house and they said they did. I asked when they were last made and they said yesterday so I ordered a plate so we could take it back to hotel for snacking. It was also fresh with good flavor.. It was great to see they actually had individual glass containers of soy sauce for the table! I hate those little packets. They almost always squirt on me or get on the table. It was the first Asian restaurant we’ve been to In Prince George that didn’t give us those darn little packets of soy sauce! It’s a really good classic Chinese restaurant that has a big round family style tables with the Lazy Susan in the centre. Hector and I both enjoyed our meal and we had enough leftovers for another 2 meals. Nice extensive menu, quite big restaurant with lots of parking. Very clean and well organized. Read more
