This place should be the heart of Port Hope. It's a small establishment that feels like it's from a different Era. Pinball machines with different themes line 2 walls of the restaurant, welcoming people in. Our server was prompt and pleasant, offering our kids a couple of free plays on ... the pinball machines. She served me a blueberry sour beer from Flying Monkeys that was delicious and which I recommend. Most importantly however, was the pizza. Beautiful thin crust dough, strong enough to form a solid undercarriage, supported what I believe to be the absolute pinnacle of pizza sauce. The tomato sauce is wonderfully balanced and not super wet. The basil and maybe oregano in the sauce are perfect. The cheese was plentiful, but not over the top which is critical. Stopped by this place after a work trip to Kingston with my two other colleagues. We were exhausted and needed a place for a quick bite, review a document and to send a few emails. Great service, delicious pizza and salad and such a cool vibe with the pinball machines ... and 80s music. Read more
Overall extremely happy with service and food. Top 5 pizzas in my life and I've travelled across Ontario and Quebec a lot with kids sports. A Pizza that Dave Portnoy would rate high. Food were good! Atmosphere were okay! Service can be improved! Just need to be more organized when it gets busy. We ordered Fettuccine Alfredo, Lasagna and chicken wings! Pastas were really good! Try it! It’s saucy and hot! You can play pinball inside but be mindful because staff were really strict about ... their game rules. Rules about kids playing and NO food on top of the machine.
