Dreamer’s Cafe - Port Hope, Ontario

A cool local café where you can try a lot of delicious, high-quality drinks. I ordered a mocha with a ton of whipped cream, and it was really good. Although, I would have preferred the chocolate to be a bit less sweet & darker.

The place is absolutely beautiful, but that is where the nice experience ended. There is no labels or prices on anything, so you have no idea what anything is or even what the price is. And I felt very uncomfortable even asking the owner (what I assumed was the owner) as he ... seemed very angry/agitated. I asked a few items and then gave up. Who doesn’t label their items?? I would like to know what I’m paying beforehand?? My mother had the “cheesecakes”. Extremely dry and the worst cheesecakes she’s ever had. Which was extremely disappointing as they were quite expensive. I also don’t think anything is even homemade. In short, we will not be returning. LOVED it here. Lunch was amazing and the service was wonderful, fast, and kind. The atmosphere is inviting and visually beautiful. The turkey panini was delicious and the Fabulous Crazy Cookies were an immediate favourite. Will definitely be back!

The atmosphere of the cafe was warm and intimate, with windows overlooking Street. I can say that the atmosphere of the cafe was great and the staff was nice. There are many items for sale inside the cafe, which reduces the usable space for arranging tables and chairs. I ... can also say it was not clean enough! The smell of food filled the whole environment, maybe a hood in the kitchen would be useful. The environment of the kitchen itself was very dirty, I was thinking of ordering more, but after seeing the kitchen environment, I settled for coffee:( Read more
