I ordered a mango smoothie and explicitly requested no sugar. Instead, they blended a few pieces of mango with an excessive amount of ice, water, and sugar. When I refused the drink, pointing out that it was just ice and water, they rudely insisted that this was how a smoothie ... is made. To make matters worse, they denied my refund request and displayed an appalling lack of professionalism. I ordered a strawberry smoothie, it did not taste good at all. I told the person there working that it tasted like a mix of chocolate and strawberry. All he said was sorry, no refund or I’ll make you a new one. Will never come back

Chatime is a chain located within the Tables food court and serves bubble tea and other fruit beverages. I ordered the pearl milk tea and it was very typical with less milk flavour and more tea flavour. Service was ok but they didn’t provide a straw for my drink and I ... had to reach over to grab it. I usually come here for my Brown Rice Milk Tea with coconut jelly (zero sugar level) but my order was not correct today. I've asked for no sugar but I got 100% sugar. The cashier did not summarize the order. My drink is unbearable to drink, as it is too ... sweet. Disappointed. Read more

Unfortunately and ironically, I visited Chatime mainly because I had free vouchers from Customer Service due to a prior poor experience. As much to my dismay, this visit was identical to my prior bad experience. I understand and appreciate soft launches. However, you shouldn't be expected to still pay full price ... for extremely long service and terrible tasting Bubble Tea as the business should be preparing for this prior to the launch. I feel bad as the staff were clearly new, however they didn't communicate to me at all and I was stood for around five minutes waiting for them to process my order. The drinks were also extremely slow to be made and tasted extremely weak with barely any flavor of Roasted Milk Tea or Matcha blends. I had the exact same experience at the North Burnaby location and seems to be a trend and somewhat a potential flaw in their training process, especially for newer opening chains. As you can see from the photos, after about ten minutes the milk started to curdle and completely separated even after thoroughly shaking and was pretty gross to be honest. Throughout the entire process, unfortunately no smile or manners and somewhat disappointed. The Chatime Sociatea rewards program is useful and nice, if you actually like Chatimes drinks and customer service which I can't rave about. Read more
