Wow and more Wow...to bad they are not closer to Burnaby..I would be 50 pounds over weight and broke.....And I thought being Celiac was a bad thing.. still one of the best in the lower mainland. Nice to find a GF place that has none vegan options.
I come from Burnaby, but seeing as there aren’t many gluten free bakeries I don’t mind making the drive. However, I’ve had several bad experiences. None of the front staff can ever answer any questions, always seem lost and have no idea about any of their products. I was also ... told a product didn’t contain egg, they even checked their book and ensured me it was safe. Sure enough, I had an instant reaction and the front staff called the owner or baker and they confirmed there was indeed egg and their book was wrong. Also, they used to be a nut friendly bakery but now offer hazelnuts, pecans and peanut cookies. Do not recommend making a trip out here. The only item worth it is their French bread, seeing as they discontinued their Sourdough. Read more
Appreciated them delivering this to Vancouver Island. Glad to support local business. Good people but ... No where near Gluten Free Epicurean on Donuts or Apple Fritters, not even close. Bit disappointed really. Maybe just an off batch though.
I got a 'To Good to Go' app' haul of goodies, and boy did I get a surprise! A vegan, gluten-free-loaded pastry army equipped to take down anyone, fantastic value and great, fresh products made from natural, wholesome and minimum ingredients. I managed to snag some Vegan Apple Cinnamon Crumble ... Muffins & Breakfast Cookies. A well decorated, modernistic and clean bakery with extremely quirky and edgy food ideas offering something awesome for everyone, I love this place its dope! A real home baking style vibe, the owner puts a huge amount of effort and love into this business which is a testament to how super yummy these muffins and cookies are. Support local businesses!
