Le Pionnier - Pointe-Claire, Quebec

Went here for my little cousins last night in Canada (he is south African and wanted to play pool) they wouldn't even let us eat there because he is under 18. Servers are rude (from past experiences as well). Can see why they aren't doing well.

I would give this place no stars if I could. I have been here twice now and regret it every time. The smell of (Pardon my french) Piss fills the whole establishment. I understand they wanted to bring this place back for the older generation who had frequented this ... location when it was originally called this name. In my personal opinion it was better when the had it rented out to the folks who ran Clyde's bar not to say it was much better but at least it didn't smell like a latrine every time I walked in. Great place, good beer, very nice waitress(ask for Rose) but the food wasn't super good and overpriced. Its a bar so i wasn't expecting too much on the food side, overall will definitively go again.

A Montreal/Pointe-Claire staple and landmark. Music, pool tables, bands, jam-nights, tv events, sports nights...all combined with a good crowd, and great eats and drink. Prices are great, and the local servers compliment everything around them. Always worth the visit, and you'll always make your way back.
