Their service was very friendly! But the dishes were a bit lacking, especially for their price point. The pork in the pork belly tacos were a bit over done, the other tacos tasted a bit on the simple side, the flan tasted and had the consistency of a cheesecake. The apps ... were really great though, especially the cassava fries and crudo de átun. We appreciated the vegan options as well as the option to make cocktails into mocktails. Some things I would have enjoyed for the tacos - double tortilla - red/green salsa and limes to share What I love about this place is their ambience - it's decorated so beautifully. Finally a date night spot in the east that makes you feel like you are in the city. Higher than normal price point, but worth it to not have to drive downtown. The cocktails are amazing and appetizers shared were perfect. The Cassava fries were a hit and ordered ... twice once the first batch disappeared quickly. We got seated in the Pineapple Room which had a large party of 15+ at the time. It was LOUD. But if you're ok with that, I wouldn't let that deter you. The covered patio is also a great option. Covered and youdont feel like you are sitting in the parking lot. The Birria and Fish tacos were our favourite. And the cocktails! Chefs kiss! Dined at Chuuk tonight for the second time and we had such a lovely evening. We were served by Amanda and she was on top of everything! We had a couple margaritas, the fresh guacomole and chip, Birria tacos, fish tacos and dessert. The atmosphere was amazing, perfect date night ... spot! Read more

Customer service is as good as it gets, and the atmosphere and decor is first class, but sadly, the food was a letdown, in my opinion. We took the waiters' recommendations and ordered the guacamole, baja fish tacos, and birria tacos. The food lacked authentic Mexican flavors and had no acidity. ... The food needs more attention in my humble opinion. I gave the restaurant 4 stars because of the outstanding customer service, the ambiance, and just amazing workers that really take care of their customers. They also don't have decent hot sauces to kick it up a notch. My expectations of Mexican restaurants are high, and sadly, for the price, the food was disappointing. The portion size is decent. In my opinion, stick with the order of two tacos because the extra charge to make it 3 is not worth it. The citrus and honey drink was wonderful. Give them a try and judge for yourself, not going to be a go-to place for me. Great place to hang out with friends though, and catch up over a few drinks. Read more

Came here for early dinner.. We had no reservations and the Host was very kind and seated us right away. The service was great. Our server really knew the menu and the drinks and gave us a great recommendations. She checked on us, refilled out water when needed, our plates ... were always cleared with efficiency. Now the food, Delicious! I highly recommend the Crudo de Atun! Absolutely DELICIOUS! We highly recommend if you are in Pickering this is the place to be!
