Absolutely disgusting food here - nothing like the Eglinton location - ALL STALE, dry and tasteless dishes. Don't be fooled by the 1976 sign - Roland's you should be ashamed to provide customers with such horrible quality food - try tasting it yourself before serving - do you not realize ... it is bad. Seems like everything was made many hours or days before. Ordered the special fried rice, chowmein w BBQ chicken, beef roti, fried chicken wonton - only the chicken was okay - everything else was hard and obviously reheated. Don't waste your money here!! The reviews on this site has to be false or paid for - bc don't understand how 4 things I ordered were all bad. The food is nothing like the pictures they show in their website. Read more

Always been the BEST of the best from the original days back when it was a sit down restaurant on Eglinton Ave. in Scarborough. Now a take out restaurant in Pickering, the food is still amazing and family/employees are all great. We have friends that visit from outside of the ... area and they always want us to get Rolands. We love this place and it will continue to be a “go to” for our family! Read more

A blast from the past but the two elder protrietors never fail to deluvwr excellent food that is not just delicious but of high quality. Ordered chicken wonton (crispy if not a bit on the bland side) but the bbq chicken on fried rice and the fried chicken on chowmein ... were both amazing. Read more

I have mixed reviews for this restaurant. It’s hit and miss depending on who is working. When Roland makes the roti, perfection! It’s fresh and tasty. I’ve had the older lady make my roti several times. The roti has been dry/stale or extremely salty. I ... had one a few nights ago and it was so drenched in sauce, the roti shell disintegrated. Hot mess! If Roland made all the Roti’s, I would have given a 5 star. Read more

I've been wanting to go to Roland's East for quite some time after frequently going to their Eglinton location in Scarborough that closed a few years back... Just like I remember... the goat roti was delicious. A few tables were available so I didn't need long to curb my ... hunger. Generous portion and the family run business had the same friendly faces that I remembered. Definitely will try to get back again to satisfy my love for delicious west indian, caribbean food.
