Lone Star Texas Grill - Pickering, Ontario

June 2024 Dining out with foodie friends is always a pleasure, especially when the food is delicious, the drinks are refreshing, and the entertainment is good. Entertainment? Yes, we enjoyed an evening of karaoke at Pickering's Lone Star Texas Grill recently. I didn't realize my friends were so...errr... Talented? Our evening started ... with apps on the patio but wet weather soon chased us inside, where we also had our first round of cocktails. Besides the complimentary chips and salsa, we also had Classic Queso & Chips, Antojitos, Taquitos, and Alligator Bites. All were good, especially the cocktails, which included some Frozen Margaritas and Margarita Flights. That was followed by the Grilled Steak and Buffalo Chicken Fajitas, complete with Tortillas and all the fixings. Always enjoyable. Other dishes included Shrimp Tacos, Enchiladas, Taquitos, Quesadillas, and a Nashville Chicken Sandwich. It was a lot of good food! Another round of delicious cocktails followed, which obviously loosened up inhibitions. A couple of brave souls from our party serenaded the dining room with their karaoke skills and eventually closed out our evening. Bravo! Sadly, I can't remember who hosted the contest but I thank you!⁠ ⁠ I had the Ribs and Wings platter with Waffle Fries and it was pretty good! It was a lot of food and I was stuffed!⁠ ⁠ My cousin had the Burger with Bacon and Cheese, which was also very big and too much for her to finish.⁠ ⁠ We did manage to split an order of Churros for dessert, and we enjoyed the complimentary Salsa and Nacho Chips to start.⁠ ⁠ Dining on the patio under COVID-19 restrictions was different from what we're used to but it was nice to have the extra spacing between tables.⁠ ⁠ The service was very good! Enjoyed my favourite dish from Lone Stars, Alligator bites, great service and good vibe here. Complementary Nachos and Salsa. Fully ♿ parking, entry, seating and washroom accessible. Decent amount of T.Vs for sports watching.

We celebrated Cinco de Mayo this evening at the Pickering location. We were excited once we saw the colorful sombreros! Our server Trouble made us feel very welcoming. Her energy, smile and ready to answer our questions. Enjoyed the complimentary nachos and salsa. We ordered a wrap and the duo ... sizzling chicken & steak fajitas. We didn't feel the portion for the duo plate was worth the price 50.00! We should have ordered 2 separate dishes. We asked the manager for extra guacamole since it only came with one. At no time did she tell us it would be an exyra $2.99. Not happy to see that on the bill 😒 Overall,nice evening and fun atmosphere 😊 Note and recommendation. Great food and amazing service from all of the staff. Our server Trouble was the only server tonight and she was amazing. The host Louise who sat us and also did our table side guacamole was also great! We’ll be back for sure!!

Good food and good service. We came on a Sunday and Diamond (I believe her name is) was working alone. The place filled up pretty quickly but she still managed to provide us with timely service. The food was amazing, we got the platter for two that comes on a ... hot plate and it had everything we needed. My partner wanted the enchiladas as well so we got those too! As an app we tried the alligator bites. They were alright, nothing to brag about bur the food was cooked just right and it was a good time. Highly recommend. Thanks Diamond! Read more
